Crown Lengthening

A "gummy smile" occurs when a large portion of one's gums display when smiling or laughing. A "gummy smile" can make teeth appear small and can be aesthetically displeasing.

During a crown lengthening procedure, excess bone and gum tissue will be contoured to reduce excess gums and expose more of your natural tooth. A local anesthetic will be administered prior to the procedure.

It may also be necessary to provide sufficient tooth structure for restorative procedures.
